The enemy of Power is Justice and in Centre County, Pennsylvania Power has prevailed way too long. Power determines that a criminal assault resulting in serious bodily injury, having occurred in the Penn State locker room days before a big-money bowl game, goes unpunished.  Feeble Justice can only prosecute the same fight between fraternity brothers 3 blocks away as Felony Aggravated Assault. Criminal acts are not markers to be played nor tokens to be discarded for the sake of ratings and cold cash. All crimes, including the fight that occurred in the Lasch building offend "...the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania." That is the essence of our Pennsylvania criminal justice system. In the instant locker room scandal, peace can be read as "piece of TV revenue" and dignity left her blouse in the basement. Justice is supposed to be blind - not blind and stupid.

Regarding the locker room brawl that resulted in some type of brain injury, I quote the Harrisburg Patriot-News article Police won't seek charges in fight between Drake, McGloin."University Police will not seek charges after investigating Saturday's locker room fight between QB Matt McGloin and WR Curtis Drake ..." The power to decide whether to prosecute rests with the Centre County District Attorney NOT the University Police. I am reminded of the neighbor who complained about living down-wind from the PIG FARM. Why don't you move?
