Just a few hours before Ryan Dunn's Porsche skidded out of control and crashed into the Pennsylvania woods, killing the MTV star and his passenger, he posted a photo to Twitter of he and several friends drinking beer and having a good time. Now, although Pennsylvania officials have not yet completed Dunn's autopsy, many members of the media have already begun to unfairly characterize the car accident as a drunk driving crash.

The accident took place early Monday morning, as Dunn was driving his 2007 Porsche 911 in suburban Philadelphia. Suddenly, the car spun off the road, flipped over a guardrail and crashed into the woods, where it burst into flames. Dunn, 34, and his 30-year-old passenger were both severely burned, and were pronounced dead at the scene of the tragic accident.

Pennsylvania police are still investigating the cause and other details surrounding the accident, and have yet to determine whether alcohol was a contributing factor. The autopsies will likely be concluded this week.

In April of 2005, Dunn was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after he allegedly crashed his vehicle in West Whiteland Township, which is approximately two miles north of the most recent crash site. At that time, he successfully completed a court-ordered program for first-time DUI offenders, and the charges against him were dismissed.

Dunn first appeared on MTV as a star of the stunt show "Jackass" and the trilogy of "Jackass" movies, and also appeared on "Viva La Bam" and "Homewrecker". He recently signed on to host "Proving Ground" on G4, but network executives announced that all future airdates of the show would be postponed for the time being.
